About Brett Power

I spend a lot of time getting to know and understand the people I work for. The personalities, life stories and goals really do matter -they shape our view of the world and give insights into how we approach decision making. My prospective customers need a “behind the curtain” view of the advisor they choose to work with. Who I am at my core, the way I view the world and what I consider most important may not match up with everyone – and that’s okay. We live in a world where we see less and less of the authentic and more of the advertised. This is my personal Bio, written by yours truly.

What Makes Me Tick - My Single Best Investment

It’s my family.

My wife Lindsey is the glue that keeps this whole thing together! She has been incredibly supportive in my business over the years and makes sure our home runs smoothly – so that I can focus on my clients.

Together, we have two beautiful daughters, Harper and Hadley. Our girls have brought so much joy and laughter to our home and help motivate me to be the best version of myself.

I’ve had a passion for learning and a natural curiosity from an early age. From learning Morse code and obtaining a ham radio license at the age of 13, to trading my first stock at 16, to graduating from the University of Georgia at the age of 20. I realized early on that “Wall Street” and investing provided a world with unlimited potential to learn. I truly enjoy the markets and financial planning. It’s one of those topics that many (if not most) people don’t really get “excited” about. I love that I’m able to be a resource for my clients and do the hard lifting for their financial plans.

Our lives are busy! That is putting it mildly! Our family is actively involved in our church, Alpharetta First United Methodist – where we lead a Sunday School group. I serve as a board member for the Alpharetta Chamber of Commerce and stay active in the Alpharetta Rotary chapter. I love lifting weights, running, playing golf (especially when my family rides along), free diving, and reading.

Where Does Happiness Come From?

This is one of those deep questions that many probably think is better to be asked in a philosophy class- not by a financial advisor! I find it one of the most important questions to answer. I want my clients to be happy and to live a fulfilling life during their retirement and working years. I’ve had the opportunity to work with families who have millions and with those who have just enough to get by. One of the lessons I’ve learned through this is that the old saying “money doesn’t make you happy” is fairly true. It’s been impactful on my world view and my own happiness. It is a passion of mine to help my clients build plans that protect those things that matter most – and keep them focused on living life between the guardrails of their financial plan. Having more isn’t always the goal at Power Wealth – it’s about doing more with what you have. I love helping our investors find that sweet spot where they are able to responsibly save and enjoy their lives.
